The Asian Air Transport Centre (AAT) announced that it had officially provided cargo handling services for Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Freight Airlines on 8 November 2017.
Established in 2006, Hong Kong Airlines is an airline based in Hong Kong. In recent years, its airline network has expanded rapidly, serving more than 40 major cities in Asia and the Pacific. In 2017, Hong Kong Airlines extended its terminal to North America, opened its Vancouver route, and will open its Los Angeles route in December. Since 2011, Hong Kong Airlines has been awarded Skytrax four-star rating.
Established in April 2017 as an all-cargo airline, Hong Kong Freight Airlines provides cargo services to more than 15 destinations around the world, operated by Airbus A330-200 cargo aircraft. Similar to Hong Kong Airlines Passenger Transport, Hong Kong Freight Airlines is committed to further developing its global airline network.
With Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Freight Airlines joining the family of the Asian Air Transport Center, the operation scale of the Asian Air Transport Center will be greatly enhanced. Mr. Kevin Qian, General Manager of the Asian Air Transport Center, said: "We are honored and welcome Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Freight Airlines. Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Freight Airlines are the second largest airline group in Hong Kong. We have further upgraded the facilities and equipment of the cargo terminal and recruited additional personnel to meet the service requirements of its base airlines. We are confident that the Asian Air Transport Centre will become a strong and reliable partner of Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Freight Airlines to assist in the development of its cargo business at the busiest Hong Kong International Airport in the world.
